Welcome to www.pocketmalta.com...

...The online version of the compact magazine which aims to provide a lively, up-to-date guide on what to do and where to go while on the Maltese islands.

Combining in-depth writing with great photography and modern design, PocketMalta attempts to unlock the islands’ moods and secrets as they change throughout the seasons. From people and traditions to the latest events, from the capital’s cultural and artistic life to what’s on in Gozo, from a take on the nightlife scene to the best places to dine, each issue is a valuable pocketbook to carry around and dip into again and again.

A flick through the various issues will reveal a wealth of stories reflecting the vibrant life that flows through the islands all year through. From magnificent primitive cliffs to Malta’s wild and breathing countryside, from the charm and hush of Mdina to the shimmering nightlife at St Julians, from solitary echoing chapels to enchanting beaches and from the secrets of the old capital to a glimpse of life in Gozo.

Within its pages, fading traditions – often surrounded by memories – are brought to life, while the locals’ voices – from pastizzi makers to mayors and from ramblers to theatre directors – echo through the various stories.

Printing 25,000 copies a month and distributed to visitors at the airport, PocketMalta arrives directly into the hands of its targeted audience, the tourist, the business traveller, the family on holiday. The magazine does not aim to be a comprehensive guide to the Maltese islands or to provide information easily found in guidebooks; rather, it seeks to present up-to-date suggestions and ideas on the latest events, insider tips on local issues and, occasionally, off-the-beaten track or fringe information without, however, assuming prior knowledge.

Together, the various issues of PocketMalta build up into a picture of the Maltese islands as they change through the seasons… and here you can access most of the information found in the latest issues simply by clicking on the links.

Bringing the islands’ unique charm to their many visitors is a pleasure and a discovery which, we hope, you will make with us.
